1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Vault No. 5 website and any purchase you make from us, online, by direct message, or in person. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.
Vault No. 5 is a Houston, Texas based seller of vintage western and pre-owned luxury goods, operated by Vault No. 5 LLC. You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to make a purchase.
2. Vintage and Pre-Owned Condition
Everything we sell is vintage or pre-owned unless the listing says otherwise. That means it has a history, and it may show it.
- Items may have wear, patina, scuffs, fading, stretching, repairs, or minor flaws consistent with age and use. We describe noticeable flaws and photograph items as accurately as we can, but some wear is part of the piece and not considered a defect.
- Colors may look different on your screen than in person.
- Vintage sizing does not always match modern sizing. Check the measurements in each listing, and ask us before buying if you are unsure.
- Each item is one of a kind. Once it sells, it is gone.
3. Authenticity
We only sell items we believe to be authentic. We inspect every designer and branded piece before listing it, using our own expertise and, where appropriate, third-party authentication.
Vault No. 5 is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any brand we sell. Brand names are used only to describe the items.
If a recognized third-party authenticator determines an item you bought from us is not authentic, contact us within [14] days of delivery with their written findings. If we confirm the issue, we will refund the full purchase price when the item is returned in the condition it was sent.
4. Pricing and Payment
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change at any time before you complete a purchase. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout.
We accept payment through our online checkout and, for in-person or direct sales, Square, Zelle, and Venmo. An item is not reserved until it is paid in full. We may agree to a hold or a deposit in writing; unless we say otherwise, deposits are non-refundable.
If an item is listed at an obviously wrong price because of a typo or system error, we may cancel the order and refund your payment in full.
5. Orders and Shipping
We ship within 3 to 5 business days of payment, within the United States only unless we agree otherwise. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.
Title and risk of loss pass to you once we hand the package to the carrier. We are not responsible for carrier delays. If a package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will help you file a claim with the carrier. Items over $500 ship with signature confirmation and insurance.
We may refuse or cancel any order, for example if an item was sold elsewhere at the same time or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel, you get a full refund.
6. Returns: All Sales Final
Because every item is one of a kind and pre-owned, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for fit, sizing, change of mind, or condition that was described or shown in the listing.
The only exceptions:
- An item that arrives significantly different from its description, reported within 48 hours of delivery with photos.
- An item confirmed not authentic, as described in Section 3.
In those cases, return the item unworn and in the condition received, and we will refund the purchase price to your original payment method once it arrives back to us.
7. Sourcing Requests and Special Orders
You can ask us to look for a specific piece. A request is not a guarantee. We will tell you if we find a match, along with its price and condition, and you can decide whether to buy it.
If we ask for a sourcing deposit, we will agree the amount and terms with you in writing first. Once you accept an item we sourced for you, the sale is final under Section 6.
8. Website Use and Content
The photos, videos, text, and branding on this site and our social accounts belong to Vault No. 5 or are used with permission. You may share our posts and links, but you may not copy, resell, or reuse our photos or descriptions, including on other resale listings, without written permission.
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to access it without authorization, or use it for anything unlawful.

9. Liability, Governing Law, and Contact
Limitation of liability. To the extent allowed by law, items are sold as described and Vault No. 5 makes no other warranties, express or implied. Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that item. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
Changes. We may update these terms at any time by posting the new version on this page. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
